Utter Bakchar > Construction Completed!

Thanks to your kind donations, and led by our partner on the ground – IRFF-Bangladesh – the Utter Bakchar Primary School is open to students! According to Tetsuya Amano, Director General of IRFF-Bangladesh, “286 village children (including kindergarten) are studying now dividing into two sessions in the morning and in the afternoon. Children now have been given [a] chance to receive education because of our schools.”

Utter Bakchar > Construction Progressing

After several delays caused by materials sourcing, labor availability and roofing expertise issues, the Utter Bakchar school construction is nearing completion! The doors and windows are be refitted by the factory, and the school is planning an opening for November. Thanks to your donations, the Utter Bakchar school will soon offer valuable space for education and community events.

Farm of Hope > Vocational School Trains Former Child Soldiers

The Posterus-funded multifunction carpentry machine has been key to the Farm of Hope’s reintegration of child soldiers. According to the head of the FOH, Floribert Kazingufu, “The carpentry machine was the key element for the training of those kids. Today, they are also using the machine to have a living.”

Utter Bakchar > Construction In Progress!

Construction has begun for the Utter Bakchar primary school and community center. So far, builders have finished the brick walls, which will next be covered by concrete. Also, as a precaution against flooding, mud will be used to build up the floors.

Mackenzie > Construction Completed, Monitoring Continues!

Classroom construction for the Mackenzie School in Ndola, Zambia has been completed, thanks to your generous donations. Additionally, in January 2010, Posterus associate Don Mangowa visited the Mackenzie School to evaluate the school buildings, childcare and leadership. Read Don’s report here.
